You have no doubt seen someone clean a roof like yours in order to get rid of moss. That is only the first step out of three that should be performed. Rainier Roof Restoration Inc. does not just get rid of moss, but helps prevent it from coming back. Our three phase total roof restoration process is based on the results of studies performed by Oregon State University, Texas A&M Forest products Laboratory, The Cedar guild, and the Washington State Handsplit Shake Bureau. The three phase process is as follows:
Phase 1. We use a designed, low pressure, high water volume cleaning process. Mosses, algae, and debris are gently removed. This process will restore that "Like New" appearance and also revel any deteriorated shakes. Phase 2. We thoroughly inspect every shake on your roof, replacing, or repairing any that have deteriorated or are missing. This avoids any future leak problems. Phase 3. To complete the restoration process we will replenish the natural oils and preservatives that have been lost due to sunlight and rainfall, by applying our special blend of oil based moss retardant / wood preservative.PROFESSIONAL SERVICE & SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!
Our Special Oil Based Preservative has been tested by independent, unbiased wood technologists who have determined that it is the most effective, long-lived roof preservative available in the United States. Consequently, it comes with a 6-year warranty against water penetration with minimal color loss. The oil treatment will remain in and protect the wood for 6 years. Further moss growth will be kept to a minimum. Proper care of your shake roof will stop further cracking, curling, and warping, but it will not fix existing problems.
WARNING!
Most roof-cleaning companies are treating roofs with water-based moss retardants. While this is effective in temporarily preventing the re-growth of moss, it does nothing to prevent the drying effects of the sun and the subsequent cracking, curling, and warping. Although our oil-based preservative is somewhat more expensive than the water-based, it's superior performance compensates for the additional cost.
